To Danny, poetry was the life saver he much needed; a safe haven from hopelessness.

Danny was born in Boston Massachusetts to Cape Verde immigrants. Moving into the world’s educational hub could not keep him out of trouble. In 2006, he was sentenced to a correctional facility after he was found guilty of attempted murder.

While in solitary, Danny found a poem left behind that provoked him to pen down his emotions.  A book by Tupac Shakur and motivation from other writers crafted his journey to the writer he is today.
